sales order changes at header leavel

Hi experts,

If there are for example 5 items in sales order and all items date is to be changed where at header level we can amend so that that's applicable for all items at item level.

10   Mat1  Delivery date 09.05.2012

20   Mat2  Delivery date 09.05.2012

30   Mat3  Delivery date 09.05.2012

40   Mat4  Delivery date 09.05.2012

50   Mat5  Delivery date 09.05.2012

Now if i want to change the Del date to 20.05.2010, instead of changing at each item level where can i change this date at header level so that I dont have to amend at each item level.

Replies will be appreciated.

Thank you

Abhi

Hello Abhi,

Firstly there is no Delivery Date at Header Level. What you have is Requested Delivery Date at Business Data Level. Requested Delivery Date is nothing but the Date that the Customer Has requested for the Goods to be Delivered.

Now, coming to your question, if you change the Requested Delivery Date, then the change will not be applicable to existing Items, it will we applicable only for New Items.

This means that you will have to change the Delivery Date in each Item Manually.

Thanks,

You can use MASS, when it makes sense to your process

or much easier:

select all the items, go to menu "EDIT" --- Fast change --- delivery date

dear,

if you change the requested delivery date in the header and then create a new item, the system proposes the new date for any schedule lines you create;

if you change the date of an existing schedule line, the system advises you that it will only apply the new date to further schedule lines you create and will not change the dates of other existing schedule lines.

Hi,

If you want to change the delivery date instead of changing in line item , you can also change in header level.

In sale order there is one filed called "Request delivery date"(VBAK-EDATU). If you maintain or change any date in that field it will automatically change the same .date in item level.

Thanks

Hi,

We don't have Delivery date at the Header level of the order but,we have at the line ite schedule line level.

If you are talking about "Requested Delivery date",it will not be changed at the line item level. We have to change manually.

Krishna.

dear, you can change the delivery date only on item level (not in header).

because of table VBEP has a sales doc. item (field POSNR) as a key field

and your delivery date is VBEP-EDATU
