We are using S4 HANA public cloud.
We have a business requirement where we change a billing document and want the change to be triggered in an interface to our document composition software via APIs.
Specific use case scenarios are we amend the customer PO number or the address on the billing document. The billing document then needs to be interfaced to document composition system which will produce the Invoice and send to the client.
We originally tried to complete this functionality by re-triggering the output on the billing document. However, there are restrictions on output management and API exposure on the Public Cloud so you cannot use the output and the re-print flag as its not exposed in an API.
Any ideas greatfullty recieved!

Not sure on the above restriction but have a look at OSS note 2391603, according to which, I feel, your requirement can be met

thanks Neeraj, I did look at this already but doesn’t really answer the question. We produce invoices with some specialist document composition software, we can use api’s for original invoices. The issue is with re-prints, there is no API for outputs (and the duplicate flag) isn’t exposed in the API’s for public cloud.
