s/4hana cm Modify category with active status

Hi Collegues

I am trying to modify the categories in a category with "Active" status, it allows to add the category but not to delete it, I have tried to merge it with a version of the category but what it does is to create another version, possibly I have not done it as I should, is it possible that you tell me the step by step of how I can make the change and put it in the category with "active" status or if I can delete the active category and create a new one.


I can't delete category

Can you let us know as to which categories you are trying to add. Is it Subject Profile categories you meant.

Hello Edna

I guess that you're not using CLOUD,. You're using S/4HANA Customer Management, aren't you? This Community is for S/4HANA Service (CLOUD). I've just added new tags (e.g CRM Service).

Active Categorization schemas must be updated creating a new version .

  1. Go to your active Schema
  2. Select the button Version ( don't use the button Edit )
  3. Choose the category . You will see 3 options New , Delete , Copy.
  4. Delete it

I'm sure that you will be able to delete the category.
