Hello Experts,

I am facing an issue in data preview of a custom CDS view which is developed using developer extensibility.

There is custom CDS view developed based on standard cds view I_ActualPlanJournalEntryItem.

I am able to view data of the given standard CDS view. however I am getting authorization error "No authorization to view data" when trying to data preview of custom cds view.

For testing purpose I created another custom cds view based on standard cds view I_PurOrdAccountAssignmentAPI01 and able to view data of both custom as well as standard CDS view.

In the app "Display Authorization trace" , for both the custom cds views, there is authorization failed for object S_TABU_NAM but wondering how am I able to view data of another custom view based on I_PurOrdAccountAssignmentAPI01.

Jitendra

Hi Jitendra,

You can read my blog and I think you can get some insights. In 2.3 Part, you can try to add release contract for your CDS View and I think your problem will be solved.

Thanks a lot Zhehui. Post contract releasing CDS view(based on I_ActualPlanJournalEntryItem) is working fine and able to view data. I am still wondering how test cds view (based on I_PurOrdAccountAssignmentAPI01) which is not contract released, is working fine.

Anyways, Thanks for your help.

Jitendra

Hi Jitendra,

To be honest, I met the problem which is as same as you and I found the solution which I provided here. But anyway, I don't find the reason that why sometimes you don't need to add contract for some CDS Views but you still can preview the data as well 🙂

If you find the answer, you can tell me as well. Anyway, adding release contract is a good way to avoid this problem.

Best Regards,

Zhehui
