Roth and Traditional 401K Config

Former Member

Hello SCN,

I am trying to figure out how to configure a Roth and Traditional 401K Combined Annual Employer Contribution Limit. Currently we offer both a Roth and Traditional 401K, but we want to ensure that the combined employer contribution to these plans does not exceed $10,000 annually.

Is there a way to configure this without having to do custom development, whether it be a new schema or badi?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hi Hilary,

I think you should be able to configure this requirement via a user exist or a combination of user exit

such as

Definition name               PBEN_PAY0007

Definition short text         Country exit for determination of employer contribution

and/or

Definition name               PBEN_PAY0008

Definition short text         Country exit for checking contribution limits

or

Definition name               PBEN0014

Definition short text         Enhancement for determining the employer contribution

Also the function limit in payroll can help for the US go to IMG-->Payroll USA-->deductions-->Limits on deductions.

Hope this help

I believe you can achieve this in the IMG (Personnel Management -> Benefits -> Plans -> Savings Plans ->) without custom development.
