Rescheduling Maintenance Plan by using IP10, call object is not called

Former Member

When I restart a PM plan, the call date of first due call oject was today, I expected it would be called, but it is not. I runned IP10 again, and got the same result.

The information about my plan is as following:

cycle :3 DAY

call horizon: 67

restart date: 2014/6/22

Someone who can explain this?

Thanks!

Thanks Maheswaran.

Yes, it worked out after I set CH% to 66.

As your Cycle is 3 days & you want to generate the order one day in advance, you should give as 66.7 % as call horizon.

Unfortunately, there is no option to mention exact 66.7 % in call horizon. So, you can use 66 % to generate the orders one day in advance.

If you are convinced with this solution, please close the thread.

Zhimin,

If you set the CH less than 1% below your 67%, you'll get the desired Scheduled Save to Call.

Hope you are able to relate to the Cycle and the CH %

zhimin,

To me the Plan and Call dates appear to me in Order.

The call dates for Plan Date 25/06/14 in different Call Horizon cases would be like this.

Call Horizon 0%, the call date would be 3 Days before the Plan Date. (You'll get Save to Call because the day is in past)

Call Horizon 33%, the call date would be 2 Days before the Plan Date, means 23/06/14. (You'll get Save to Call because the day is in past)

Call Horizon 67%, the call date would be 1 Day before the Plan Date, means 24/06/14.

Call Horizon 100%, the call date would be 25/06/14 the Plan Date itself.

Vincent,

Some questions:

  • How many maintenance items are on this plan
  • Is the Completion Confirmation flag set in the plan
  • What happens when you press the Refresh button at the bottom of the IP10 screen

Hi, Peter

1. My plan only have one maintenance item.

2."completion requirement" is not set in the plan

3. When I restarted the plan, a message window appeared,  I chose "delete" option.

Thank you for your reply.

Best regards,

Vincent

Vincent,

There is a setting in the Scheduling Parameters (TCode OPU7) which says how many days in the past an order can be created.

Could this be part of the issue?

Hi,Peter

I think OPU7 is just about order planning: determine basic date of order or starting time of operations considering the factors of work center, such as capacity, shift etc.

Thank you for your instant replay!

System date is 24th June, it is not the key.

Does it relate to SAP core version? I am using SAP R4.7.

hi

I think there is no relation with version. kindly create new plan with 3 days frequency and check once again

hi,Thygarajan

I' v created a plan, and I started it with proper start dates to make the first due date is today. I found a problem:

horizon is set 100, the call object is called.

horizon is set 67, the call object is not called.

There may be the inner logic that the calling operation is executed before the call date is calculated based on plan date.

Hi

Can you check the task list attached to the maintenance item is created before the call date. whatever the logic , the call object will be called based on the call horizon .

Hi,Thyagarajan

1.I don't think task list influence the scheduling procedure.

2.I don't know why the object was not called if the call horizon is not set to 100.

Vincent
