Hi,

You seems to have maintained only I Ea in Material master.

You also maintain Dozen = 12 Ea in Material master Unit of measure view.

Then, it should work for you.

Thanks,

PNR.

Hi PNR,

Even if you maintain any additioanl UOMs SAP does not allow this.Try out.

I just wanted to know why or what could be the logic.Must be something to do with exact approximation of the quantities but not convinced if so.

Can anyone please explain so that I can gain some knowledge.

Thanks in advance

Hi,

Similar question I answered in the forum somewhere, but the details are --

Try this way -

Info record can continue to have its own Ordering UoM. No need to touch that.

In the material master record, maintain the alternative UoM that you wish to use, with conversion factor, in Units of Measure tab under additional data.

Then, in the purchasing view, maintain the indicator 1 - Active for the field, Var. OUn (VABME). This will make it possible to use other ord. uOm than used in inforecord.

While processing MIGO for returns, you may overwrite the UoM for "Quantity in Unit of Entry" under Quantity tab. You may also enter appropriate quantity in the alternative unit of measure.

Try this. Reward points if it helps!
