Requirement flow WITHOUT BOM COMPONENT

Hi All,

I need to present this scenario in system to client where

BOM has FG --> COMP1 but in actual FG-->COMP2(SFG_-->RM?PM

Here comp1 is material code for jobwork, and has no sub comp. so MRP stops there but in actual all RM/PM are in BOM of SFG i.e. COMP2.

Is there any way where requirement can flow from COMP1 to COMP2 without MAKING ANY CHANGE IN BOM.

Hello ,

The Reason for having the Comp1 ? Could you please give an example on this sentence "Here comp1 is material code for jobwork"

Have you tried with "Phantom Assembly" concept . Make Comp1 as Phantom material (50) and then Create the BOM with Sub-component As "Comp2".

So all the Dependent requirement will flow from FG to Comp2.

Best Regards,

Hi Kumar,

Comp1 is ROH material in SAP which is sent to vendor for job work and then it enters into SAP as comp2 which is SFG.

comp1 is part of FGs BOM and comp2 is not. I need to find a way to flow requirement that are passed on to comp1 to comp2 without any BOM connectivity.

I tried with planning material but SAP help states that it should be part of BOM to use planning with material.
