Reorder point planning and forecast?

We are using reorder point planning for some external procured parts, but we would still need to send forecast to the vendors. (if possible through scheduling agreements).

Has anyone run into a similar situation and knows how we could solve that? We want to make use of a "pull" system, and that is why we'd like to stick to reorder point planning.

Hi All,

I found this old thread which was never closed regarding an issue that we are also having in our company.

We are ordering at the vendor using re-order point planning, the issue is that the vendor also would like to receive forecasts for the material so that he can optimize his planning.

Is there any way that we can send forecasts and still use re-order point for the actual call off?

You can go for reorder point planning.

A procedure in materials planning. If the reorder point is greater than warehouse stock, a procurement proposal is created by MRP.

Reorder point planning can be:

After MRP run you can check the details using pull list MF60 there you can see the requirement and same you can inform to vendor through print take ABAP help in order to send the intimation to vendor either with Zreport.
