release startegy for RFQ

Hi,

what parameter are normally used in release strategy for RFQ in implementations.

(like for PO we can use purchase group, total value etc.)

1. If I see CEKKO there is not much the choice for RFQ.

if there is change in quantity of RFQ, how to handle this as this field is not there in CEKKO.

2. if I add some customer fields in RFQ, can these be considered for release strategy?

3.also my client requirement is that if there are changes in texts, the system should be able to retrigger the release strategy. i donot think it is possible. any work around on this.?

4. if there is cancellation of RFQ, it should follow through approval of competent authority i.e release strategy.

pl give input so that I can take up with client.

Hi,

I know for RFQ release you dont have much option but you can get the extra fields by adding additional Z fields in Communication Structure and making use of these z fields in structure you can trigger an user exit which is present for Relese strategy code as per your requirement thenit will help you solve the problem

but i know the answer which i gave is very generic as it requires lot of development effort but its doable. as i didthe same kind of release strategy on user ID which is not available in CEKKO STD SAP

In my opinion, please discuss with the users to do RFQ approvals outside SAP. The benefits you will get out of developing this in SAP will be much less than the effort (and cost) incurred to maintain this in future.

Hi Anju,

the tech spec and func spec i can send you, but if you have querry in writing func spec you can ask the qerry but please do naot ask the func spec to be sent to you.

any way the rules of this forum does not allow me to send you the spec as such.

the func spec depends on many factor as the company practices its own business process so just hold a meeting with your user and gather as much details as possible and put down in the paper then you can analyse it and if you find any difficulties then raise the querry in the forum.
