Hello,
I am facing some problem in activating customer include under the following scenario.
1. I enhance customer include belonging to infotype hrp***. i added few fields and activated it. this was fine. Later because of some change in requirement when i deleted all fields from CI include ci_***
it can no longer be activated. It does expect atleast one field in Ci include for activation.
2. I tried from se11 to delete all the fields from customer include and leave it in inactive state . I later went to se14 transaction and tried adjusting the infotype hrp****. I thought this will bring it back to original state but it did not.
Does any one of you know how to activate the customer include once the fields are all removed from CI include ?
Your help would be highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Best Regards
Pooja
Steps you follow are correct using Se14 you can activate the table which is effected by CI include or se11 those fields

i tried doing that but activation using se14 , though shows a successful status but does not activate ci_include , it shows inactivate state....and when you gp to infotype it shows old fields lying although the structure of ci include is empty. hence it remains in inconsistent state.
any other suggestion you have which i can try.
thanks
First Go to Se11 , put CI_PXXXX and select the Delete button from Applicationbar .
You will receive a warning message saying that Dependent HRPXXXX tables will be reactivated.
once you do this CI_PXXXX is deleted but still you can see your fields in HRPXXXX and HRPXXXX is partially active .
Now goto SE14 , select the ACTIVATE & ADJUST DATABASE button.
I tried in my sandbox and it worked
Hi Balaji,
Thanks alot for the information , i am just wondering deleting Ci_include may result in complete loss of ci_include structure from hrp***. what i mean is from infotype hrp*** the last field is Ci_include****. the option you suggested. will it not completely wipe of that entry itself from infotype? so tommorrow if ever customer wants to enhance that infotype , he will not find ci_include itself as it has been deleted.
Am i correct? I am little worried if i do exactly what you said might result in wiping the entry ci_include from infotype table or will it just empty the fields from ci_include and the entry of ci_include will still be there?
Any idea?
thanks for the great help
Best Regards
Pooja
Hi Balaji,
I see that your response to Adjusting Infotype helped and hopefully I can ask you for some pointers/help with my issue.
My issue is:
I would like to create a CI_Include for HRP5135 infotype.
I could go only so far..
1. From SE11 I have created a structure called CI_P5135 with the fields I want in the include.
2. Should this CI include be manually inserted in HRI5135 or P5135 by clicking edit on the HRI5135 structure (which i tried and I get the prompt to provide access key) - is this the route to take?
3. Also, I tried transaction PPCM but had no luck attaching the CI_P5135 to the main infotype HRP5135.
4. Transaction PM01 did not help either since 5135 infotype is not recognized through this.
Can you please tell me what steps should I take to successfully create a CI include to HRPXXXX infotype.
Thanks in advance,
Ravi
Hi Pooja,
I looked through forums to find any clues to solving my issue but looking at your message I'm hoping you have some pointers that I can use.
