Refresh Objects does not work in SAP BAS

Unable to refresh objects in SAP BAS for SAP Asset Manager Project.

We are able to deploy to SCPms but refresh objects return 401 error.

There does not seem to be any authorisation issue because from the client we are able to access the SAM app.

Any inputs please to resolve this issue?

There is a know issue with refreshing objects against a CF Mobile Services destination that is using Cloud Connector SSO due to differences in the security handling of destinations versus the cockpit. We are investigating what we can do to get it working.

In the meantime, there are two options for refreshing the metadata.

Change the SSO Mechanism

1. Temporarily set the destination to use Basic Authentication and then the refresh should work. After refreshing set the destination back to Cloud Connector SSO.

Manually Update

1. From the Mobile Services Cockpit, for the destination use the Launch in Browser button and sign in with your credentials.
2. Retrieve the metadata by accessing the /$metadata endpoint in your browser
3. Save the returned metadata file by right clicking and selecting Save As
4. Replace the contents of the service .xml file in the editor with the contents of the saved file

Either workaround will solve the issue of updating the metadata in your Editor project.

I tried option 1 of changing SSO mechanism but i get the same issue.
