Hi,
What options are available in DMS for markup and redlining for MS Office files since the ECL viewer doesnot support these file types.
Thanks
Anirudh,
Hi Anirudh,
as Office files are not displayed in the ECL Viewer there is no possibility to use the redlining functionality of the ECL Viewer to markup word files for example.
However you can use the SAP Office Integration for MS Office files and display these files within the R/3 System. To use the Office integration you have to change the settings in transaction DC30 for the office applications.
Please maintain one of the following parameters in DC30 for the workstation applications under "Define Workstation Application in Network":
PC CHO 1 Test for DOC %SAP-OFFICE-INTEGRATION.INPLACE%
PC CHO 2 Test for DOC %SAP-OFFICE-INTEGRATION.OUTPLACE%
PC CHO 3 Test for DOC %SAP-OFFICE-INTEGRATION.OUTPLACE%
Further please maintain also the necessary settings for office integration under
'Setup office integration' in transaction DC30. For further information please see the blue information button in the upper right corner.
Afterwards the original should be displayed in the R/3 system (INPLACE) or in a seperate window (OUTPLACE). However to markup office files I would recommend you to use the MS Office Markup functionality in Menu "View" --> Markup. This will allow you to edit also some comments to the MS Office files.
Best regards,
Christoph
