"Function code xxxx has not been assigned to a function key" - EC181

Hello Experts,

I am going through SAP note # 1894089, and i have to apply manual correction in

Program: SAPLJ1BB2

I have to add a button in the application toolbar of a gui status when i am trying to add a button in the application toolbar, it's showing me the following error:

"Function code PB has not been assigned to a function key"

     Message no. EC181

Anyone had the same issue before?

I also Faced the same issue with SAP standard progrm, I was not able to deactivate Modification assistant.

I tried this and it was done in minutes. Hope it helps

1) Se80->Program:XXXXXX ->GUI Status: XXXX200; change mode

  2) unfold "Function keys":

     In frame "Freely assign function keys" put the cursor in the first

     field that allows input (in line for "Ctrl+F3")

     Press "Change selected original" button

            -> Insert  code:XXX, Text: XXXXXXXXX

  3) Menubar-> Double click "Goto"

     Press "insert entry" button

     Press "Change selected original" button

            -> Insert  code: XXXX

  4) Application tool bar's Item 8 ->

     Press  "Change selected original" button -> add XXXX

  5) Press Enter key or save immediatedly.
