Quantity proposal in Batch determination

Hi,

We are doing the batch determination in Process order for Batch and HU managed Raw materials.

I created two Process Orders

Requirement for Raw Material A in Process Order 1 = 1000 Lbs

Requirement for Raw Material A in Process Order 2 = 1200 Lbs

Stock of Batch 101 for Raw Material A = HU Quantity = 1500 lbs

When i do batch determination for Process Order 1, Batch 101 gets assigned for Qty = 1000 Lbs. I release the Process Order.

But when i do Batch determination for Process Order 2, the entire quantity of 1500 Lbs shows available, instead of remaining qty of 500 Lbs, as 1000 Lbs is already reserved for Process Order 1.

How do i make sure, that only difference is available for Process Order 2, i.e. only 500 Lbs?

I checked the scope of availability check and found to be OK. I also tried different Quantity Proposals 1, 2, 3, 4, and 600. But ii does not give the desired result.

Thanks in advance for your time.

With Regards,

Mangesh Kulkarni

Hello Pavan and Sanil,

Thanks for the response.

Yes...if i create the Transfer Order (as the Raw Materials are HU managed), then the remaining quantity is proposed for the 2nd Process Order.

But we want to do batch determination and release the all the Process orders, one day in advance for next day. Also we would like to create a collective Pull List for all the process orders for tomorrow and move all the materials together, instead of order by order.

Is there any User Exit in quantity proposal, where it would check if that particular batch is already assigned to a process order and reduce it and make the leftover quantity available to the 2nd process order?

GI through MB1A would happen after the production is executed and it would be too late then to propose the leftover quantity to the next process order, create a pull list and then stage the material to the shop floor storage location. Ours is a continous production.

Appreciate your feedback in advance.

Hi,

Till you will not actually withdrawn material for process order number 1 system will show you it available for 2nd process order.

So 1st do MB1A for 1st order then only you can see for 2nd order available is 500 Qty.

Please issue the Raw Material A to 1st process order through MB1A and then check the results for process order 2

test this and revert back
