Quantity and value updates for stock.

Hi Gurus,

If my client passes the quantity and price information, for sales to customers, through an interface from their proprietary system, can we automate the quantity and value updates for stock in the inventory? What other information will need to pass from their system in order to have an inventory update on a more regular basis?

Hi Sha,

Usually we upload initial stock and values of Legacy system to SAP through MB1C using Mvt type- 561. Ask the development team (ABAP) to develop a similar program for this.

They will hard code the fields like Mvt type 561, Reason for movement, etc and make provision for other required field values in the input file to be uploaded from Client proprietary system to SAP. The client has to ensure filling the input file before uploading by this program from Client proprietary system to SAP. You can schedule a job on regular basis on a daily or weekly basis.
