Hi Community !!!
I have configured in my SAP ByDesign the process for quality control when purchasing a specific product.
The process is working, the system opens automatically an inspection, but I have a few questions, maybe someone can help me because I can't find the answer.
Keep in mind that in my case, we have to inspect the whole quantity of the product, I mean that we are not taking samples and inspect them, we check every item.
My questions:
1. When the inspection is created by the system and I approve all the qty, the stock is still in "Inspection mode", so I cannot use the stock until I make a "Change of Stock". Is there any way for the system to remove automatically the "inspection mode"?.
2. Even if a say to the system that there are for example 3 "Destructed items" the system anyway put the whole qty in the inventory... That not make any sense... What I'm missing?
3. There is an automatic way that after I approve the inspection, the system transfer automatically the items to the final warehouse? or every time I have to do a "Goods movement"?
Thank you very much.
I hope someone can help me with this.
Regards
Diego
Dear Diego,
Inspection process in ByDesign is designed in such a way that it is not a hard stop rather it is soft stop, The answer for your queries are as follows
1)Currently, There is no provision of automating Inspection stock to unrestricted or restricted stock, This can only be done by manually via Ad-hoc Change of stock process.
2)Although you have destructed few items in your Inspection document ,
Once the quality (inspection) document is completed by recording the results, you can carry out manual follow-up logistic movements if required. For example, you can:
Create a change of stock using the corresponding common task in the Internal Logistics work center.
● Scrap a material or product using the corresponding common task in the Internal Logistics work center.
● Create a return to supplier request using the corresponding common task in the Inbound Logistics work center.
●Block an identified stock in the Identified Stock view in the Warehouse and Logistics Master Data
3)
There is an automatic way that after I approve the inspection, the system transfer automatically the items to the final warehouse? or every time I have to do a "Goods movement"?
If you do not want to categorize inbound stock as inspection stock, you must select Do not Categorize Stock as Inspection Stock while creating an inspection plan. This indicator is not selected by default. If you select the indicator and if the inspection is integrated in an inbound process, the system does not default the stock category to inspection stock, but instead, captures it as unrestricted stock during the inbound process. The indicator in the inspection document is the final check for the logistics processes to capture the stock as inspection stock or unrestricted stock. You can categorize the stock as restricted stock while performing the goods receipt. This action overrides the behavior (that is, inbound stock being categorized as inspection or unrestricted stock) induced by the indicator.
I hope this helps.

Sandeep
