Q-Notification - Sending mail with URL attachment via Action box

Hello Together,

I have an issue with the standard Function module "Send Mail with Attachments".

Scenario/Steps:

- Create a standard Q-Notification Q2

- go in the Attachment list

- create external document (URL) -> e.g. www.sap.com

- click "Send Mail with Attachments" in the Action box and add the URL as an attachment.

-> Send mail

The result is, that this URL Attachment will convert to a HTM type.

If you open it in the Mail, it will open the HTM file and on the screen it is written the name of the homepage; In this case "www.sap.com".

Is it possible to open directly the homepage, like a normal URL?

Are there any simple setting changes in "SCOT" or Customizing which will help?

In case you attach an HTML file, which is cut-off to HTM, please ensure following SAP Notes are implemented in the affected system:

3028162 - Incorrect file name extension during export of attachments when sending e-mail

3103525 - Incorrect file name extension during export of attachments when sending e-mail
