Hi Everyone,
I want to ask is there a way to include a profit centre in the employee master data like the cost centre Infotype 0027 ?
or is that possible to add the profit centre on the position or org unit level ?
Profit center is assigned to a combination of Controlling area and cost center in the finance side .If you enter the cost center id through transaction PP01 and click on change it will bring you to cost center change basic screen , You can see the profit center here .But please note that you are accessing a finance transaction KS02 through this method . You can see the Profit center but it can only be extracted or seen through finance side and not HR side . You don't have a need to show it in HR side as they are always assigned to cost centers and the report can be pulled from Finance side.
Thanks
Lakshmi

Thanks for you answer it was really helpful, but the situation i'm facing that in the finance department the want to exchange an expense account for a specific wage type to a balance sheet account, so when i make the posting simulation you will find the following :
Wage type xxx1 100,000 ( Balance sheet )
Accrued Payables 100.000 ( Balance sheet )
so in that case the system doesn't read the cost center " which normally is assigned to the expenses account " , and by that way it will not read the profit centre.
the system in that case gives me an error and i canot make posting, the error refers to missing profit centre .
so do you think it has a solution for that?
Hi Kareem
This problem does not refer to hr side , see the issue is the wage type will post to a symbolic accout , this symbolic account will hit a GL account , Now the finance team will have tagged this GL account as profit center or not a profit center . I am just giving you a brief idea . Have a discussion with your finance consultant . check the GL account that the symbolic account for the wage type is pointing to .
Thanks
Lakshmi
