Hi All,
We are implementing 1709 Hana and not using either COPA or WBS\IOs. Now the client wants to track the cost and profitability of SBU using simple cost center and profit center structure.
When posting Revenu transactions in revenue element (Category - 11), in profit center, the system showing the message that "Profit center posting is statistical" and needs a real object, but in our case, we are not using any of the real revenue objects, but want to track profitability using profit centers. We know that the above message can be turned into a warning, but want to understand the impact, in case we go ahead with this approach.
Thanks,
B.

I have not worked in S/4 HANA environment, but in the ERP versions you can change the system message from an error to suppressed. IMG path in ERP version is Profit Center Accounting>Tools>Change Message Control (you can use other menu paths to get to the message control tables)
Message number in ERP is KI 166
Once this is done, then you can post revenue (cost element types 11 & 12) directly to a profit center without a revenue object like WBS Element, Internal Order, etc.
