Hello,
We are currently in the process of rolling out our Argentina territory on S/4 HANA Public cloud, and as part of the e-invoicing setup there is a step in the help document (See step 5 under procedure)
Managing Communication Settings | SAP Help Portal that requires us to enter the certificate of type key pair X.509 generated from the AFIP portal.
Request your help in understanding how this certificate is generated via the AFIP portal? Is there any documentation available for the same in in English? We currently have our business teams in Argentina who are connecting to AFIP via their individual credentials. But since this is for S/4 HANA cloud system connectivity, we will need to generate the Key Pair file X.509 hence reaching out to understand how that is done.
Request clarification before answering.
Hi,
we got the answer as below from our local colleagues in Argentina.
Best regards,
Nils Buerckel
In Argentina, in order to generate the digital certificate for e-invoicing web service, the company needs to have for homologation (test environment) a CUIT ID with password level 3 (any AR natural person). For production environment, the legal representative of the company with an authorized CUIT number could request it. In the following page, it is explained how they should do it, it is in Spanish, as it is a government tax agency page:
https://www.afip.gob.ar/ws/documentacion/certificados.asp
the customer will be able to see how to get the certificate for homologation environment and or production environment (see attached picture).
