What is mean by process material ?Give me an example for this.

it is a Standard Material Type . Process materials (PROC) are used in the manufacture of co-products. They are not physical entities, but represent production processes. They are useful if production is initiated by the availability of input aterials and capacities, and not by material requirements planning.

Would use of a Process Item (and an associated Route) be appropriate for enabling an existing physical product to be subject to a process, e.g. perform a physical inspection/test for in storage condition monitoring, and then return the item back to inventory under without changing part/material number? The item to be processed/inspected would be a BoM item of the Process Material and assigned to the works order.
