printing permits

Hi all,

I have assigned hot work permit with the maintenance order, but it is not coming in print list with shop papers. Please suggest how to print the same and where will i find the print preview of the permit?

And also what to do if I have to create my own format for hot work permit( eg. checklist) and assign it to the order and then print it. shall i have to use smart form for the same.

Also my client requirement is that when the production person

releases the hot work maint. order, hot work permit appear on the screen

on which he or she can select the check boxes( describing safety

conditions) that are necessary for that work. WCM is not activated there.

Hi,

As per your scenerio it seems that you have to take Print out of Permits through ZTransactions.

Because you can not print the Permit of Maintenance Order unless Order Gets RELEASED.

If you didnt get the permit print even after releasing Order then go to T-Code IPMD

Here check whether Print Check Box is TICKED or not. It Should be ticked.

For your second Query,

Make setting in IPMD such as Unless this permit is not issued Maintenance Order Should not be released & Closed.

For this you have to Maintain Permit in following Way for example:

Permit           PERMIT 3

Permit Text      Hot Work Permit Issue

Permit Category  W  Work Permit

Order release    2

Order Completn

Permit class

Print  should be ticked

Permit           PERMIT 4

Permit Text      Hot Work Permit Close

Permit Category  W  Work Permit

Order release

Order Completn   2

Permit class

Print  should be ticked

If you assign these Permit in Maintenance Order & save then go for releasing the same order

it will give message "Order release refused as permits are still missing" & your release get rejected.

After permit get issued you can release the Maintenance Order,& then you can take Print Out of Shop Paper.

Please check at your end.

Thnx for the quick reply....I have already done what u hv replied but I think the hot work permit document that has to be printed has not been prepared in the system. how to prepare the same and attach it to the permit, so that the same document format can be printed along with the shop papers.

Hi Asheesh,

Do you mean Check List as a "The hot work permit document" .

If yes then you can write all the Check List points in Long Text of Permit through IPMD.

So that when ever you use the defined Permit in Maintenance Order, you will get all the Check Points in Long text tab.

And  when you go for print out of Shop Paper, you will get Check points.

Please Check at your end.
