hi,

during GR, why freight cost and custom duty both debit to price difference and not inventorised?

example

raw material 160

freight 15

custom 5

during GR

DR raw mat 160

CR grc 160

DR pr dif 20

CR clring fre 15

CR clring cus 5

thanks

yes elian,

If the material is valuated at standard price, all other cost occurring other than the material price will be bypassed to price differance a/c.

If the material is valuated at moving average price, it will be added to the material price.

Hope it is clear now

Hi,

Check if material is maintained at Standard Price in material master "Accounting 1" view with Price Control as "S" if yes then it will post the Standard Price only to Stock A/c and rest all to Price Difference.

Hi,

1 do you mean if it is moving average then freight or custom duty will be inventorised?

2 if standard cost, the variance will be charged to price difference account?

thanks
