hi all,

I have a scenario where one of my vendor supplies potato's and the potato`s are priced on different sizes and quality but we created MMR for only potato`s. So how can we map this in to SAP and execute it.

Hi Mani,

As stated above you can either use variant configuration or simpler way is using split valuation. But you need to tell us how many different sizes can your material come in. And is this standard or ever time you have new size introduced.

Based on the material what you have there should not be more than 5 at max 10 sizes, so you can maintain split valuation for this and keep track of stock also. You will have to have 10 different accounting views one with each valuation type.

Hi Mani

Real GR8 scenario, and you had balls enough to post it on SDN that's great.

I think if we use variant configuration, super bom, this scenario can be mapped. Now if you want further on variant configuration you'll have to search a little further...

look it is not diificult to map that scenerio .if if u do not take care of valuation but the main point is separate valuation of differnt type of patote and if we use the split valuation then suppose if i have 500 variant for my product then it becomes very hectic to create 500 material master......nay suggestion?

u have to use configurable material in this case

and in purchase info record u can create variant conditions

but the point to note here is even thouh u may pay more for one type of p[otato and less for other type but there are going to be evaluated at the same pricec in the system as the price i sgoing to be fixed in material master if it is standard price.

now adding to your query .......if suppose u have 11 kg of good quality potato and 12 kg of some other qulity of potato and u want to see separate evaluation then how to do that?

Hi,

Think of using Split Valuation.
