Hi,

When i am trying to post i am getting the below issue.Please let me know the reason for this.

Also please let me know whether this issue with FICo or HCM?

Balancing field "Business Area" in line item 001 not filled

Message no. GLT2201

Diagnosis

The field Business Area marked as balancing is not filled with any value in line item 001, even after document splitting.

System Response

The document cannot be posted.

Procedure

First check your entries.

Additional causes could be:

No value can be derived for this field from the current document data.

You have entered a document type that is not designed for this business purpose.

Hi

In PPOM i have just given an Cost-Center(Created by HCM).

Please let me know whether we are maintaining any business area in HCM?

for that employee position , in the account asignemnt , make the business area blank. Then run payroll and then posting.

Hi,

After clicking Account assignment in GOTO, do you want me to use Master cont center or Account assignment features for the organisational unit.

Then is it means that by using Acccount assingenment i can post to Finance??

Normally CO consultant will maintain Business area to Cost Center. Also look from HR side, go to PPOME check account assignment tab for particular emplpoyee position which is you are facing problem in posting.

Rajesh/experts,

There is no business area for that Postion in the PPOME.

After giving Business area in IT0001 for the employee, document posted to finance

Can we give business area in IT0001 or we have to give in Cost center?
