Hi

Posting date means on which date your makeing entry.Posting Date which is used when entering the document in Financial Accounting or Controlling.

Document date means Vendor inovice date. The document date is the date on which the original document was issued(iriginal docuemnt occured)

For Due date you have to select the option like document date or posting date in Default for baseline date OBB8

Ramesh,

Please explain the difference of posting data and document date?

Posting date is the date on which you want the document to be posted.

Document date is the date on which you usually enter the document.

How due date of a document is calculated..?

From Payment Terms

when we are going to use the defferal date is used?

If you want Due date to be differed , you use deferral date. This overwrites the due date

Hope this helps

Hi

Document date - can be the date of the original reference doc based on which you are entering the transaction. Say a vendor invoice date

Posting date - would be the date when you actually want this entry reflected in your books of accounts

Due date - Due date for a document would be based on the payment terms stored in the document. Payment terms would get defaulted from the vendor/customer master. In the payment terms in OBB8 we maintain the number of days to due, and the date based on which it will be calculated (doc date, posting date...)

Thank You,
