PO not yet released ME390, for PO not subject to release

Hi folks!!

We usually post invoice for released purchase orders, but now we want to post few invoice for PO in which release strategy is not there, but while trying to post MIRO or F-47, the system is throwing message ME390 PO Doc not yet released, while in reality, this PO is not subject to relase, so sytem should not stop,

I ha already check ME390, it is not effecting postin whether i will set the message as E or W.

PLEASE DADVICE WJT TO CHECH,

are you saying that you do not have a tab for release strategy in PO header in ME23N ?

SAP checks on 2 fields before the error is issued:

- EKKO-FRGRL not blank (unreleased)

- ekko-memory not blank (parked PO - not completed PO but saved)

Delighted to see you on help line.

My POs are completely saved, and there is not release tab at header level because these pos are not subject to release. I am testing the same scenario in QA and able to post.

Kindly advise possible solution.

can you please check with SE16 in table EKKO whether the 2 fields I gave you have a value.

EKKO_FRGRL has value X, while memory has blank value.

My release startegy is based on doc type and purchasing group, and for this document type, I did not define a release strategy.

How can I solve this issue.

did you change the strategy setup while an unreleased PO existed?

If so, then try ME22N, change quantity or price, save, then change it back to the old value and save again.

I expect that the strategy is then new determined (but this is certainly based on your customizing).

Thanks for your help.

I have changed the purchasing group, so that it will not pick the release. Now the tables are empty and posting can be made.
