PO Document type Authorizations

Whether its possible to give authorizations based on PO Document types ?

Authorization object is M_BEST_BSA.

Hi,

Yes, you would need to add the document type as a characteristic to the class used by the realease strategy config for POs and use the CEKKO field for document type (BSART) as the link.

This authorization is not for release strategy .

I have created new PO document type for different company code , now buyers of that company code should not be given access to create PO with any other document types .

Is this possible?

Pls advise.

Hi,

I am not an authorisations expert but I am sure that you can control which PO document type can be used by each user.

Hopefuly someoen with authorisations knowledge will confirm this???

Hi

Yes you can give Authorization based on PO document type.

For the Authorization object M_BEST_BSA,

You can assign the <b>Activities</b> like Create , change and display and you cna give the values for the field BSART (like NB,UB) under this object.

hi,

as per the authorisation i have one more question....we want to create only one document type and assign different number ranges using the user exits.....now one document type and different number range..how to control this scenario?
