PO Approval Workflow For Changes

As standard, when PO approval WF is turned on, user must go through WF. There is a requirement to trigger PO WF ONLY when certain changes(i.e. price, quantity change) happen on the PO, comparing to the initiating requisition. If there is no change, user just saves PO without triggering redundant WF.We have seen there is no such option in the flexible workflow configuration. Will SAP have a solution to this in any releases?

Another option is to stop user from editing the price/quantity in PO by using field selection but public cloud has a limitation. Need SAP’s advise if any options without going through enhancement.
