PM Data Migration from ECC to S4 Hana

Hi All, 

Greetings for the day !

I have a requirement related to data migration from ECC server to a completely new S4 Hana server . Client wants to scrap ECC server & want to go completely new implementation on S4 Hana 2023 version with new server . In light of this , what are the options available to migrate all PM & PS data ( master data , transactional data , historical data ) from ECC server to S4 hana Server ? Please throw some light on these .

Hello @mohammedrahman4 ,

Editing is not possible by Migration cockpit but there are mass change transactions available in standard SAP. For example: in IE05 you can carry out mass change in equipment master. To activate mass change in equipment master you need to activiate a business functuion in SFW5. Business function names are LOG_EAM_CI_1 and LOG_EAM_SIMP. You also have to take authorization of auth object I_MASS. Then you can carry out mass change. 

Mass change is also available in IW28, IW38, IL05. Check in the top menu bar of these report outputs and you will get the option "Carry out mass change".

For activation of business functions contact th basis consultant of your project.
