Hi,

1422891 - Cannot update due date for check

Symptom

You are working in a company which does not contain posting period that
covers the actual system date (for example: The posting period is only for year
2008 and the system date is 01/01/2009).

When you try to change the "Due
Date" of incoming payment's check via "Check Register" window, the following
error message appears:
"Check date is out of the company due date
range"

Cause

Application error

Solution

SAP intends to provide a patch or patches in order to solve the problem
described.

The section Reference to Related Notes below will list
the specific patches once they become available.

The corresponding
Info file of the patches in SAP Service Marketplace will also show the
SAP Note number.

Be aware that these references can only be set at patch
release date.
SAP will deliver patches only for selected releases at its own
discretion, based on the business impact and the complexity of the
implementation.

Hi,

To access SAP notes, you need S user ID and password.

For easy, please refer below notes:

1795964 - Subperiod not available in Posting Period
list
Symptom
A sub-period is not available in the posting period list.
  • Customer is trying to create a document in the missing sub-period and the
system shows the message "Posting Date deviates from the defined range' -
'period does not exist in OFPR'
  • It is not possible to create any document or transaction in the missing
    sub-period.
Reproducing the issue

  1. Go to the Posting Periods window,
  2. Open the sub-period window with no transaction posted yet, right click and
    select "Remove",
  3. If you try to create a document for the sub-period deleted, the system will
show the message "Posting Date deviates from the defined range' - 'period does
    not exist in OFPR'.
Cause

Specific Solution
Solution
Starting from the missing sub-period (e.g.
month) delete the following Sub-Periods.
Under Administration → System Initialization →
Posting Periods, click on New Period button.
Open a new Posting Period window, add a
complement to the missing Period Code (e.g:  2012_B), add the same complement to
the Period Name and create all the missing sub-periods as:

  1. Set sub-period: Month
  2. Set Number of Periods: 1
  3. Set Posting Date from/to: Use the sub-period
    length.
Keep in mind that it will be necessary to do a
period end closing at the end of the last sub-period not deleted and another one
at the end of the year for the remaining sub-periods. Also all the reports for
that fiscal year should be run per dates and not per Posting Period to avoid
inconsistencies.
Other terms
Missing Sub-period, Period locked, period removed by mistake by user, gap in
period sequence, 'Posting Date deviates from the defined range. To complete the
operation, define the posting period to match the entered Posting Date.', SAP

Hi Fernz,

You may run query to find all date related field value on that line of data. Find out what the exact check date or what is posting date etc.

Have you setup period for 2014?

Thanks,

Gordon

Hi Sir Gordon,

In AP Invoice:

                    Posting Date: 01.04.2013

                    Due Date: 02.03.2013

                    Document Date: 01.04.2013

Payment Terms is 15 Days PDC but actual is Payable to 18 months - from 12.19.2012 To 07/19/2014.

In Payment Means (Check):

Due Date is 07.19.2013 *This will get an error message, unlike previous Dates are fine.

Not yet setup Period for 2014.

Hope this finds way to closer solution. I really appreciate your help guys.

Sincerely,

Fernz
