Planning Time Fence

Friends,

PTF is 7 days mentioned in material master of FG.

In md6, I put requirement of FG 100,150,125 to date 10/02,11/02,12/02 respe. Planned order will create 100, 150 and 125.

I know that planned orders and PR are firmed in planning time fence.

Which automatic changes are not possible in PTF?

I am trying this scenario on dev.

Pl. guide to give solution to client.

Hi,

Automatic changes are not allowed means they can not be deleted automatically in the planning run. Also it will not club same days req.

Your answer is very helpful to clear concept.

My doubt is that my planning time fence is 6 days and put requirement of 100 in date 18.02.2012. I had taken MRP run today.

So on date 12.02.2012 what is the effect of planning time fence?

and one more what is firming type MRP type?

Hello,

On 12.02.2012 there will not be any affect.

Outside the planning time fence, the system creates order proposals based on the shortage quantity and the lot-sizing procedure as usual. When these planned orders move into the planning time fence, they are firmed automatically depending on the setting of the firming type.
