Planning Calendar Period Issue

In the planning calendar, I have divided the week into two periods. 1st period is from Tuesday to Thursday (Both days included) and the 2nd period is from Friday to Monday (both days included). For first few weeks system automatically calculated the periods (2 periods per week i.e Period X=Tue, Wed & Thu and Period Y=Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon) correctly, but after few weeks system does not divide the week into periods as per the configuration. After calculating 2 periods correctly, the 3 rd period length is 7 days. Then next 2 periods are calculated correctly and then the next period is of 7 days. Can anybody suggest why the system behaves in this fashion? Please suggest how to rectify?

Sat, This is governed by the details you provide under the 'If the period start is not a work day' in your calendar definition.

Look for holidays falling under the period specified.

Check this message which has details on the same.
