planned, commitments, actual and budget values in PM order

Dear all,

I have a question regarding planned, commitments, actual and budget values in PM order.

Our requirement is warning message to appear when planned + commitment + actual costs exceed order budget and order must be returned to particular User status.

To be clear - our budget is on order level and the maintenance process will be managed by User statuses – created /creator fills required work, services and materials/, then few levels of approval, then Budget + Release. The budget will be Planned costs + % tolerance /e.g. 10%/.

If after release the maintenance work needs additional services and materials which exceeds the budget and the 10% buffer, the warning should appear and order must be returned to user status created and to pass levels of approval again.

Do you have any suggestions? Is it possible to be done by exciting user exit?

You cannot move the order back into Created status after Release. What is exciting user exit?

Dear Paulo,

Sorry probably i wasn't clear, but I meant returning to User status "Created" not system status.

My mistake - I was wondering about some of the exiSting user exits - IWO10002 or some other?

Dear Ivelina,

You probably need to read first about existing standard functionality that SAP offers for PM orders. In particular ROP (Remaining Order Plan) consumes the budget, so your plan cost and budget are already linked together in the standard system.

Dear Peter,

thank you very much for your answer, unfortunately this is not my case. In suggested situation, /which, in fact is our current manner/ budget control works when actual costs exceeded budget. My question is - is it possible budget control to work on planned costs level in pm order, i.e. planned costs exceed budget. Is there user exit, user status or some other check which is able to track when planned cost overrun the budget and to trigger returning to particular user status?

regards

Ivelina
