Planed order splitting & sequential scheduling according to max lot size

Hi,

The scenario is MTO, requirement is if sales order with big lot is inputted, then after MRP run instead of single planned order - number of planned orders to be created with sequential scheduling according to max lot size entered in material master.

I tried to select "lot size with rounding" under MTO lot in EX lot size procedure configuration, now planned order is splitting and all start date is same but I want to have scheduling sequentially like for 20th 1 planned order, 22nd 1 planned order, 24th 1 planned order....... according to max lot size till the Big lot is planned. Require in backward scheduling.

Hi,

If the overlaping indicator of your lot size procedure is - or +, and you have maintained takt time in your material master, your planned orders should be split in periods of takt time.

Thank you, Planned order splitting is happening.

But start date of few planned orders are going to past date also. During splitting if planned orders are going to past start date then immediately it should be converted to forward scheduling from current date. Normally earlier it was not allowing for start date in past, but after enabling backward overlapping in lot size procedure it is allowing for past dates. How to control this.

Hi,

For your lot size EX set the overlapping indicator as + and enter the takt time as 1 day in material master and also define a max lot size.

Then the planned order will be created based on max lot size from the reqmts date in forwards.

If you set the overlapping indicator as - then from reqmts date planned orders will be created backwards.

I tried it, splitting happening but scheduling not happening, is it any other settings I have to do.

Actually all planned orders splitted are for same day, but require to have periodically planned order according to its max lot size in material master.

Dear Gudageri,

Check by this method,

1.Assign the MRP lot size as FS - Fixed and splitting,mention the fixed lot size quantity(as max lot size).

2.Mention the rounding value as equal to the fixed lot size quantity and mention the takt time as 1.

Once after maintaining these data,re run MRP with the planning mode as 3 and check the results.

Hi,

Hope you require the SAP to schedule the Planned order one different dates based on the Capacity available.

But during MRP system will not check the Capacity. One it will schedule orders based on the requirement dates and the inhouse prouduction days in the material master.

You need to do capacity leveling manually in CM21/CM22
