Hi,
PIR related planning will be handled through planning strategy group in material master MRP3 view.
This will define how to consider or consume PIR against each sale order.
how material issued for assembly area?
It is a material transfer or staging. Material can be transfer from warehouse to assebly area against a planned order or production order or sale order by tcode MF60. Material will be consumed from assembly area to production order by MB1A.

Hi,
1. PIR will consider the existing plant stock when MRP run. If the net requirement calculation (Plant stock + firmed procurement(P.O) - PIR) is negative value then system will create a planned order for the shortage quantity to satisfy the PIR quantity.
2. Sale order will consider the PIR. When creating the sale order, this sale order will consume the PIR quantity based on consumption mode (MRP3 view). If the sale order quantity is not satisfied by the PIR quantity, system will create a planned order for remaining sale order qunatity when MRP run happens.
