You may get some clue if you can debug the screen where you are getting this error. Can you share the MI07 screenshot where the difference amount is seen.

   IF MAXBT_ABS > T043I-MAXBT.                               " 73726
* IF MAXBT > T043I-MAXBT.                                     " 73726
*   Differenzbetrag ist zu hoch
    MESSAGE E777 WITH T043I-MAXBT T001-WAERS.
    EXIT.
  ENDIF.

Use SE16 and display table T043i, find your tolerance group and see what value you have in field MAXBT, as this is the field that is checked for Message M7777

Please follow Mr.Jurgen. Please set the Difference per Physical inventory document with value equal to item or more than that and check once again.

Hi Jurgen,

System works if i maintain in MAXBT field.Thanks

But please clarify my doubt.

I'm not aware now how much value a Physical Inventory doc. will have in future.

If i give line item tolerance(MAXEB) say 10000 USD in SPRO and in a PI document, 15 line items are there in which each line item is 1000 USD tolerance variation is there.

If i give 10000USD as a PI document tolerance(MAXBT), how the posting can be done if only MAXBT field is compared with PI document value.

Please clarify.

it is not only MAXBT document tolerance which is checked.

but MAXBT is always checked, hence it has to be equal or bigger than the item tolerance.

if it is lower than the item level tolerance, then it does not make any sense from my point of view.

so you can allow someone to post items with a difference up to 10000 USD, but you dont want that he posts a document which has a total difference from more than 25000 USD

so he can clear 2 items of 10000 in one document, but not 3 with such a big difference, then it has to be posted by somebody with a higher tolerance.

this setting does not make much sense, the value per document should be bigger than per item, at least equal.

the F1  help text explains it:

If a physical inventory document exceeds this tolerance, the user is not allowed to post any inventory differences for this document.
