Is it possible to upload photos into material memo in material master?

if yes what format is supported?

and how to do it?

Hello,

By memo I assume you meant the material long text. You can entry only text here. However you could click on "services for object" and then attach a picture file.

HI,

Using the document management function is the only standard way of attaching pictures, CAD drawing etc. to a material (certainly in older releases)

Use

A material may have various documents such as drawings and photographs assigned to it. The system differentiates between these documents by means of the document type. If your company uses SAP’s document management system, you can manage documents and assign existing documents to a material in the material master record. Document data is managed at client level.

Calling the Menu

You have the following options for calling the document management functions:

Call the Document Management menu directly

Choose Logistics ® Central functions ® Document management. You see the main Document Management screen.

Call from the Engineering menu

Choose Logistics ® Central functions ® Engineering. You can call the processing functions for documents under Document.

Call from an application component menu. For example:

Menu BOMs: Environment ® Document management

Ideally Photos cannot be uploaded in Matl master

But as drawings can be uploaded in Additional data-document data tab of Matl master .so by that route u can upload photos also

It can accept any format say jpg,gif,etc
