We have two branches set up and want to do Period End Closing (PEC) by branch so that each branch can run a separate trial balance. When we select what data to run the PEC for, there is no selection for transactions, only accounts. So, if an account has transactions from both branches, there is no way to separate the retained earnings posting.
Example:
Profit for Branch 1 = $1,000
Profit for Branch 2 = $2,0000
When we run PEC for all P&L accounts, we get an amount to be posted of $3,000 and we have to choose a branch.
Desired:
We want to run PEC for Branch 1 and have a total of $1,000 posted to Retained Earnings for Branch 1 and
Run PEC for Branch 2 and have a total of $2,000 posted to Retained Earnings for Branch 2.
Is there a way to accomplish this?
