Payment Wizard/Engine - creation of Bank File

Hi everyone

I am working on a UK implementation. We would like to produce a bank file using the Payment Wizard (outgoing bank transfer). The UK bank file formats provided with SAP are not the correct format - The clients would like to produce a BACS Standard 18 format for the bank file.

Has anybody created one of these file? How did you start? A pointer in the right direction would be appreciated. I think I can create new ones using Format Definition?

Hi Lorna,

Format Definition will enable you to create your own plug-ins for bank statements only. At this point it doesn't allow you to create your own output files.

Since the exact format you require is not in the standard, you most likely need a third party application that re-packages the extracted data. The local SAP field office would probably be in a good position to advise you on that.

Thanks for your input! We are looking at Enprise addon for this.

We have since purchased Enprise Bank Interface Addon where I have been able to create my own export files to HSBC specific requirement for download on their website.

Did you use a 3rd party software to get the data into HSBC as well as Enprise's software? I see that HSBC have their own software but this appears to only accept BACS 18 format and I am unsure if Enprise's bank Interface software would be able to do this.
