Paper Width and Height

Hello Everyone

Our client are using pre-printed sheets. I'm using the PLD for designing the print. What is the size of paper that i should set for dot-matrix printers.I calculated the width as 255mm and height as 305mm.Please tell me what width and height should i give in the PLD?

Hi raghu ,

For preprinting :

1. Measure the size of pre printede staionary like it is of letter size or legal size.

2. Set the same page on printer settings with Admin right.

3. set the same paper size on PLD properties.

4.Preprinted PLD are device dependent , These are specific to printer .So take care.

5. mark the place with marker on printer from where u have start the printing of page .

Actually there are lot of efforts done for preprinting.

You have tried again anad again .

Don't allow anyone to change the prionter settings or reinstall the driver of printer.

As i mentioned the paper size is 255 * 305mm. How i do give this in points or pixels in the document properties window. What is the measure used in width and height.Please elaborate.

Hi raghu,

Just set the PLD paer size as A4 and note the pixels comes in height and width in PLD properties as u know the height and width of A4 . NOw calulate on the basis of that ratio relatede to A4.

Hope u got me waht i want to say , i want u to cpmare with the pixcel in A4.
