Overtime calculation based on Basic pay on that day

Dear Consultants,

The client requirement is as follows. The employee is given salary increment in a month. He has worked few hours overtime before & few hours after his increment. The client wants to pay the OT hours before increment based on his Basic (WT1000 in IT0008) before increment & OT hours after increment based on his basic after increment.

In fact, now the system calculates this amount double with the WPBP split even if there is no change in the Basic Pay (IT0008). In Payroll schema, how can we refer to his Basic (WT1000 in IT0008) applicable on each day.

What is the current design of OT hours generation? Typically OT hours are automated in time evaluation or manually entered using attendance codes. WPBP splits are taken into consideration for both of these options. Moreover, If the OT hours are recorded after the pay rate change, the employer must pay the employee using the new rate.

Why cant we push the amounts before incrememt and after increment in a variable and Calculate OT based on that variable
