Org Structure

I am establishing an org structure for assigning crews to vessels. If I establish that each vessel has all defined positions assigned to it.

Can I make the org structure dynamic?

1. Assign multiple people to a single position?

2. Leave some positions unfilled?

When running the payroll for this vessel will I get errors with this schema?

How do you create an org structure where each boat could have a different crew make-up assigned to it?

Define as many org units as there are ships. And under each of this org unit definte Sub Org Units and Positions.

Yes you can have many people assigned to one position as long as there is no cost distrubution.

And you can leave positions unfilled

There will be no errors in running the payroll because of Org structure.

But if there is no cost distrubution , there can be errors during posting.

Although you may find a warning message when assigning more than 1 person to a position, you can ignore it by pressing enter.

Hi,

You can assign many persons for the same job but not for position.

Unfilled or open positions will not give errors in payroll.
