Hi,
As per my understanding
Opex : operational expenditure catagories, you can use account assignments as cost centres, Orders ( PM order, Production order in SAP etc) , all the expenses are charged to expenditure profit and loss accounts
Capex : capital expenditure , primarily you can use SAP project system or CO module internal order to plan your capital expenditure. Using Asset management module you can capitalise all the expenditure to Blocks ( Asset) .

Hi,
OPEX: Are Operational funds that are procrured against cost center and orders.
CAPEX:Are Capital funds such as assets which are procured based on Assets and also Internal orders. It may have larger funds then compare to OPEX Budget.
