Operations in Infogroups (INS, COP, LIS9, DEL, etc)

What are these operations used for in Infogroups? I was told that you should use INS for Hiring action and COP option for any other action. Is that true? What is IGMOD used for?

hai

when u create te infogroup

under which u create the infotypes order for any action.

for each infotype u give a specific operation.

eg---> when you r hiring that is in hiring action u use INS because u r creating the records for the first time.

if some other action say change of pay for someinfotypes u use copy because all the earlier records have to be copied and carried forward.

say in case of termination action u give LIS9 because the recirds have to be delimited and no more data will be therefor these records.

in some other actions where u dont need the recordds anymore for that employee

u use DEL this is rarely used as we need to keep the history of the emloyee.

IGmod is used to default deferrent infotype groups basing on different requirements.

generally the decission oprators in the feature will be Personnel area, Personnel sub area, employee group, employee sub group, molga etc
