when i go to Environment tab and click on display document flow....it says, the status is "open"...what does that mean? the delivery has not been done???
Hi,
That means the subsequent processing of the sales order is not complete. If the order is delivery relevent the delivery is not created or the order is not fully delivered.
If the order is not relevent for delivery / the ivoice will be created with reference to the order, then the invoice has not been generated.

Hi
Document flow is the chain which will link all the documents in any business process
For activating this you should check it in update doc flow field (copy controls) (OR ->LF)
Suppose you have created a sales order and after that you have to deliver the goods
After creating sales order and if u check doc flow it will says it is open because the subsequent business process was not done or completed
So there are two options in doc flow you can find
1. Open
2. Complete
Basing on the doc status it will appear

hi,
let me try to explain you with an example. Say you have a sales order with 3 line items x- qty 3, y- qty 4 and Z- qty 5.
Now unless you delivery all these line items for the complete quantities the sales order remains to be open. so it means you should have created delivery for all x- qty 3, y- qty 4 and Z- qty 5. Even if one line item with a single qty is not delivered, the order is open.
