OMSR - Field Groups

Hi,

I have an issue with a field in Material Master (Accounuting - Valuation Class - MBEW-BKLAS). According to OMSR (field selection/field groups) this field is set to optional entry in Material Master. To my understanding, no input is required when this setting is active. For some reason, this field is still displayed as input required in Material Master.

My challenge now is that one end user has by mistake entered a value in the Valuation Class, and since this field appears as required it is not possible to remove the entry made in Material Master - Accouting - Valuation class.

Has anyone experienced anything similar? I have only chekced the field selection customizing in OMSR. Are there additional checks to be done?

Thanks in advance for your help

Br,

Lars

Hi,

If you do not want valuation class in the material master, why you need an accounting view -1 in the material master! Do not select accounting views during creation or in some business if needed just have an possibility of option to restrict entry valuation class {assign valuation class(new) to Acct cat. Reference(NEW) in OMSK & then Acct cat. Reference (NEW)with material type(new) in OMS2} make that material type non-valuated.

When you will create material (MM01) with material type(new) , you can have possible to enter only valuation class(new) only in accounting view -1.

If accounting view -1 selected with other views, you need to have valuation class & price control.

Hi,

Accounting view was created by mistake. And as far as I know it is not very easy to remove a view in Material Master.

Now we get an issue since this material is used as a dummy material for stock transports.
