The Offset Account is an Account used to balance the transaction in case the Debit and Credit side are not equal.
In what context are you asking this?
In your company ..Basic Initialization tab...if you have checked Display Credit Balance with Negative sign, you will enter the Credit balance in the opening balances window with negative sign.
Where do you want to take -ve balances?
