Dear Friends,

Offcycle payroll has been reversed even after posting.

1. What is The Best solution to resolve it?

2. How can we restrict such things that not to happen in future?

Yours precious advice is highly appreciated.

Regards,

TG

Hi,

There are two things that can be done.

1. As said by John, Authrization for reversing the document can be resitricted to only one person.

2. After the posting is done, posting period should be closed so that reversing cant be done.

Dear Prateek,

I think the period will be close once after the reconciliation only from FI side, and I hope there is a process involved which takes time to close the current period.

Need more inputs please.

Hi,

you can control it through authorization roles. give authorization for only one user to post and reverse.

Dear John,

Is there any way (may be a user-exit or access control) to ristrict and to stop reversal of posted offcycle payroll results?

or

Any other way to process these kind of issues?

Hi,

i think there is no other way to restrict the reversal. if you restrict the reversal, in the genuine case also you cannot able do it.  so it is better to restrict through authorization.

Dear John,

Thanks for the reply.

You are right, we should not stop normal reversal.

We need to stop only those reversals, which have been accounted to FICO.

No meaning in reversing payroll results, which have been accounted or paid to third parties.

Similarly, it is not possible to delete payroll reuslts (PU01) which are posted to FICO.

Hope it is more clear.

Hi,

so authorization is the best way to stop it.

along with that ask your FICO to lock the period after the posting. it should be opened only with genuine authorization.
